Work with us
We are looking for consultants across seven areas, and we especially want to hear from people with lived experience of displacement and those working within refugee-led organizations. To apply follow the below steps:
1. Read the call
Download the full call and read it before you apply. It sets out all seven areas, what the work in each one actually involves, how we set fees, and what we will and will not ask of you. Each area gives an example assignment and how you would know it had gone well, so you can tell whether it matches what you have already done.
2. Apply once
Send everything in Section 10 in one email to info@refugeeslead.org, with the subject line: RRLI consultant roster, followed by the group or groups you are applying to. For example: RRLI consultant roster, Group 4 and Group 6.
You can write in English or Spanish. Send questions about this call to the same address.
3. We review every three months
We check only two things: whether what you have done matches one of the seven areas, and whether your application is complete. We reply to everyone within four weeks of a round closing, including people we are not taking on. If we accept you, you are on the roster for two years. Being on it does not guarantee work. It means that when work in your area comes up, we come to you, instead of you starting from the beginning each time.
4. We contract
A committee drawn from different member organizations shortlists from the roster and speaks with the shortlisted people. If we contract you, we agree on the scope, the fee, and the dates in writing before you start. We never ask for unpaid test work.
Our Process
You apply
Send your CV and a one-page document saying which area you are applying to, the closest thing you have actually done to that work, and your usual daily rate. Nothing else. No certificates, no portfolios. You can write in English or Spanish.

You go on the roster
Being on the roster does not guarantee work. It means that when work in your area comes up, we come to you, instead of you starting from the beginning each time. It is not exclusive, and you can turn down anything we offer without coming off the list.
